1. Who We Are

ForgeLedger ("we," "us," or "our") is a mobile application operated by ForgeLedger, a sole proprietorship. We provide business management software for professional farriers, available on the Apple App Store.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

• Email address and password (used to create and access your account)

Business Data You Enter

• Client names, phone numbers, and email addresses
• Horse names, photos, and service records
• Appointment dates, times, and locations (barn addresses)
• Invoice details and payment records

Location Data

• Your GPS location when you use the Today tab to calculate drive times and ETAs
• Location is used in real time and is not stored on our servers
• You can disable location access at any time in iOS Settings

Payment Information

• We use Stripe to process card payments on your behalf
• We never see, store, or transmit your clients' card numbers
• Only a payment confirmation token is stored in our system

Usage Data

• Basic app usage information (crashes, errors) to help us improve the app
• We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the ForgeLedger app
• To send appointment reminder SMS messages to your clients on your behalf
• To calculate drive times and ETAs between your appointments
• To process subscription payments via Apple's App Store
• To respond to support requests
• To improve app performance and fix bugs

4. SMS Messaging

ForgeLedger sends SMS messages to your clients on your behalf when you use the messaging features. By entering a client's phone number and using the SMS features, you confirm that:

• You have obtained your client's consent to receive text messages from you
• You will honor opt-out requests from your clients
• You will use the messaging feature only for legitimate business communications

Message and data rates may apply to your clients. We use Twilio to deliver SMS messages.

How We Collect Client Consent

When a farrier adds a new client in ForgeLedger, the app automatically sends that client an opt-in SMS message asking them to confirm consent by replying Y. No appointment messages are sent to a client until they have replied Y to confirm. Clients may opt out at any time by replying STOP, and no further messages will be sent. This consent process is handled automatically by ForgeLedger on the farrier's behalf.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a PostgreSQL-based cloud database with the following protections:

• All data is encrypted in transit using TLS/HTTPS
• Database access is protected by Row Level Security — you can only access your own data
• Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth with industry-standard JWT tokens
• Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, which is PCI DSS compliant

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with the following service providers who help us operate the app:

• Supabase — database and authentication hosting
• Stripe — payment processing
• Twilio — SMS delivery
• Apple — app distribution and subscription billing

Each provider is bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.

7. Your Client's Data

You are responsible for the client data you enter into ForgeLedger. This includes ensuring you have appropriate consent to store your clients' contact information and send them messages. ForgeLedger acts as a data processor on your behalf for this information.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:

• Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
• Payment records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by tax law

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access all data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time

10. Children's Privacy

ForgeLedger is intended for use by professional adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us immediately.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of ForgeLedger after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
