By downloading, installing, or using ForgeLedger ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ForgeLedger, a sole proprietorship ("ForgeLedger," "we," "us," or "our").
ForgeLedger is a business management application designed for professional farriers. The App provides tools for client management, horse records, appointment scheduling, invoicing, payment processing, and client communication.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts to use ForgeLedger. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
You must create an account to use ForgeLedger. You agree to:
Free Trial: New accounts receive a 30-day free trial with full access to all features. No payment information is required to start a trial.
Subscription Plans:
Billing: Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store. Your Apple ID account will be charged at confirmation of purchase and will automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods.
Price Changes: We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing with 30 days' advance notice.
You agree to use ForgeLedger only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
Message types: Appointment reminders, running-late notifications, and estimated arrival time (ETA) updates. No marketing or promotional messages are sent.
Message frequency: Varies based on appointment activity. Typically 1–3 messages per scheduled appointment.
Message and data rates may apply. Standard carrier rates apply to all messages sent and received.
To opt out: Reply STOP to any message at any time. One confirmation message will be sent and no further messages will follow.
To opt back in: Reply START or UNSTOP at any time.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We use Twilio to deliver SMS messages.
When you enter client information and use the SMS messaging features, you represent and warrant that:
You are solely responsible for the content of messages sent through ForgeLedger and for compliance with applicable messaging laws.
ForgeLedger uses Stripe to facilitate payment processing between you and your clients. By using the payment features, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. ForgeLedger is not responsible for any disputes between you and your clients regarding payments.
You retain ownership of all data you enter into ForgeLedger, including client information, horse records, and business data. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store and process this data solely to provide the services described in these Terms.

ForgeLedger and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by ForgeLedger and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App or its content without our written permission.
ForgeLedger is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ForgeLedger shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the App.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ForgeLedger from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Illinois.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes through the App or by email. Continued use of ForgeLedger after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
